We know you will have a lot of questions about Wedding and Baby photography. So we have compiled a list of frequently asked questions to help you! 

Weddings

What are the package prices?

We aim to cater for every budget, and discuss requirements with the happy couple. Prices start at £500, and go up to £2,000.

What does the wedding package include?

We have various packages available, going from half day coverage providing digital files, to full day coverage with two photographers, providing an album, prints and private web gallery.  Just get in touch for our price list!


Do you cover more than one wedding in a day?

No! We feel that it is important to focus on one wedding at a time, so will usually only document one wedding in a weekend. 

Where are you based?

If you are looking for a Wedding Photographer in Hertfordshire - then that's us! However, we are very close to North London, and we actually cover wedding photography all around the UK!  So no distance is out of the question!

What is your charge for travel?

£0. We don’t charge for travel! Your package quote covers everything! Depending on the area, photographers will travel the night before the wedding, so we are on site that morning and raring to go!

Do you use a specific technique or innovative approach?

We work with the client to provide the look and feel to the images they request. We aim to be as unobtrusive as possible throughout your day

What kind of equipment do you use?

Boring technical info!: DSLR cameras (2 per photographer with 1 spare per photographer), and a range of lenses to create different visual effects

How long does it take to receive photos after the wedding?

We give the timescale of 14 to 21 days, but depending on our schedule, it could be less than 7 days. 

How do you charge for extra time?

If you have booked us until a specific time or part of your day (e.g. speeches or first dance), we don't leave straight away, we make sure your story is covered at no extra charge! Further hours of coverage can be arranged through discussion prior to your big day. 

What are the forms of payment?

A deposit of £250 to secure your date (via bank transfer), with remaining balance to be paid at least one calendar month prior to your wedding. However, we are always able to discuss payment plans!

How do you work through the day?

Specialising in documentary / candid style of photography, we aim not to be seen for the majority of your day! You concentrate on your day, and we’ll concentrate on documenting it for you! 

Some wedding photographers take similar photos and poses at different weddings, but you don’t. Why not?

The honest answer is simple - you. It’s your day. And your day shouldn’t be, feel or look the same as somebody else’s. Shooting unobtrusively means we will capture your big day without forced smiles, odd poses, and ending up with the same shots as other weddings. Your day is about you - and that’s the story we tell through our images. 

Ok - we want to book! What are the next steps?

1 - Get in touch! We will discuss your requirements, styles and themes for your big day. You know the dream of how your wedding will look? It is our job to capture that dream in an unobtrusive way throughout the day! We can discuss things via email, phone, and due to restrictions- Zoom Meetings rather than in person! 

2 - Secure your date! After our initial discussions, you will need to pay a deposit to secure your date. We only cover one wedding per day (and very often only one wedding per weekend due to travel), so you can rest assured we are only focused on you on your big day.

3 - Invest in your big day! Full balance of your package will need to be paid at least one calendar month before your big day. 

4 - Enjoy your big day! We will arrive early, be unobtrusive throughout the day, and leave only once we are sure everything has been captured. For example, if you have booked us to cover until first dance - we don't pack up straight away. We will continue to document the evening guests and the party until we've captured everything!

5 - Receive your images! Images will be edited and sent to you within 14-21 days following your big day. If you require them earlier for any reason, these can be discussed and arranged.

Bumps and Babies

What happens during a photo shoot?

We aim for newborn sessions to be relaxed and as slow-paced as possible, as I work around the needs of your baby. Ideally, baby will be awake when I arrive and ready for big feed so they are ready for a nice long sleep! My style is a combination of posed and more natural images and I will aim to photograph baby  in a variety of comfortable, natural and safe poses. 


I also love to photograph the new baby with siblings if they have any and parents too. Again, this is in a more natural pose, bonding and playing with the baby (rather than saying "cheese" to the camera!).

When should I book my bump or baby session?

I recommend booking your newborn photography session once you have had your 20 week scan so we can pencil in a date based on your due date. This is also a great time to book your bump shoot too!

When will the baby shoot take place?

I am a Dad with two kids. I am well aware that due dates are very rarely delivery dates! Please let me know when your little bundle arrives (that's probably a job for the babies Dad!), and we can confirm your session, ideally within the first 10 to 15 days of your baby being born if possible.

My baby has already been born, can I still book a session?

As babies aren't usually interested in their due date my calendar is pretty flexible, so when baby arrives please get in touch as soon as you are able and we can look at suitable dates. Babies change and grow so quickly, so if you are looking for the "tiny baby" newborn stage, that is usually within the first 2 weeks of them being born.  You are more than welcome to book at any point!

Why are photoshoots at clients homes?

We usually shoot both Bump and Baby photos in your own home so there is no need to travel while pregnant or with your baby! No need to break a routine you’re only just establishing! 


Shoots at your home can be styled to look like studio shots - just check our portfolio! Although it appears the client is in front of a white studio background, it was achieved through lightning (and a bit of photoshop!). We can also shoot at locations near you (parks, places of significance for you etc). Obviously following all hygiene and distancing guidance!
